The Swedisch ex-marine Alexander landed his first Hollywood role thanks to auditioning during a stateside holiday for the movie Zoolander. After his first big role in HBO miniseries Generation Kill, the swedish actor auditioned for the role of vampire ‘Bill Compton’ in HBO series True Blood. Stephen Moyer got the part but Skarsgard landed the role of Eric Northman in the same series.
